Sophomore Warren C. Seay Jr. will participate in The Institute for Responsible Citizenship's two-summer leadership program in Washington D.C. at Georgetown University.

The program selects 24 minority male students each year. Next summer, Seay will take courses at Georgetown and intern in the D.C. area. Seay will work full time during the second summer of the program and mentor younger men in the program.

Students who participate in the program are given the opportunity to meet high-level government officials, such as U.S. Senators, U.S. Congressmen and Supreme Court Justices. This year's participants have a mean GPA of 3.65.

Seay is a Ray and Nancy Ann Hunt Leadership Scholar majoring in political science and is from DeSoto, Texas. He works as a Big Brother in the North Texas area, where he has earned Big Brother of the Year honors. Seay is also a mentor for the Dallas Community Lifehouse, which works to assist at-risk youth.
