The Mustangs (12-1-2, 5-0-1) beat Western Kentucky 1-0 Saturday. The game was postponed until 9 a.m. Saturday because of heavy showers Friday. Ryan Latham scored the only goal of the match in the second half.

Sunday, the Mustangs continued to roll through Missouri Valley Conference play defeating Vanderbilt 4-0. Duke Hashimoto opened the scoring with his fourth goal of the season. Kellan Zindel followed with his sixth goal of the year. David Chun gave the Mustangs a 3-0 lead with his first collegiate goal. Toti Suarez rounded out the scoring when he converted a penalty kick near the end of the game.

SMU climbs to No. 5 in this week's NSCAA/Adidas Men's Soccer Poll. The Mustangs will host Tulsa Saturday in their final MVC regular season home game.
