Looking to continue on their path to their first bowl appearance since 1984, the SMU Mustangs host the winless Rice Owls this weekend as part of the Hilltop's Homecoming festivities. Coming off a 27-13 win over Tulsa, SMU (4-4, 3-1) remains caught in a two-way tie with Houston for first place in the West Division. (0) comments
The Mustangs have been here before, but only once. There is a lot of buzz surrounding the team that has the possibility to reach the magical six-win plateau, technical bowl eligibility. For the second time since receiving the death penalty, SMU could reach bowl eligibility in hopes of securing their first bowl bid since 1984. (0) comments
The women's soccer team dropped a 6-2 loss to the University of Memphis Tigers in the opening round of the Conference USA Tournament Wednesday night at Westcott Field. SMU had already lost to Memphis once this season in a 2-0 loss at Westcott Field in October. (0) comments
The season is almost over for the SMU men's soccer team after yesterday's loss against Kentucky. In order to have continued into postseason play, the Mustangs needed to win at least one of two remaining games and tie the second. Yesterday's game was a rescheduled match on the road from earlier in the season, after many Kentucky players showed signs of illness. (0) comments
The SMU volleyball team has clinched a place in the Conference USA tournament. Now, they are fighting for seeding and trying to prove to the other contenders, and to themselves, that they are a legitimate team to win it all. They have a good chance to accomplish both objectives this weekend when they take on their second straight top-ranked team in C-USA, the Southern Miss Golden Eagles, before going on to play the University of Central Florida Golden Knights.
