When I was in elementary school, I used to spend a lot of time in my father's computer store. I noticed that he had a sign in his storefront and that every other business had one too. I remember asking him what "no solicitation" meant. To be quite honest, I think I used to believe it had something to do with smoking (I was still too young to be thinking about sex). (2) comments

The Texas legislature is about to give solar-power a big boost. On Tuesday, the state senate doled out $500 million to encourage the production of solar-power. Texas has always been a leader in renewable energy. The state generates more wind power than any other. (0) comments

The weather this week has hit me hard with summer fever. Two days ago, I went to the tanning pool at Dedman for the second time in my two years at SMU. It's not that I haven't had the option to go, but living in the North Quad, it's just easier to lie out on the grass or to go to White Rock Lake and enjoy an escape from campus. (1) comment
