SMU officials hope to raise $750 million during SMU Unbridled: The Second Century Campaign, a major fundraising program that will take place over five years. The campaign officially began two years ago, with the "quiet phase" raising $317 million. The first play of the game for the Mustangs was indicative of the rest of Saturday night's 43-7 loss to No 12 Texas Tech. Unfortunately that play was an interception as SMU quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell over threw his intended receiver and the ball ended up in Tech's hands. (0) comments

Jamie Burns, the cheerleader who was sidelined last week because she wears a pacemaker, said she is still waiting to hear if she will be fully reinstated. Burns says her pacemaker will not affect her performance with the team, but SMU officials think otherwise. (0) comments
The Dedman Center's Outdoor Adventure Center will be holding a new trip that director David Chambers hopes will become a new tradition at SMU: skydiving. The upcoming trip, scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 21 will be the OAC's second. The first trip was run during the summer with the same organization, Skydive Dallas. (1) comment
