These days, college students have a variety of options when preparing for exams. Some of us review our notes and readings. Some get together with classmates and quiz each other. And there's an illustrious few who simply blow off studying and go out for a drink. (1) comment
Gender is something that has always fascinated me. I am a strong believer in the independent spirit and the right to choose who we are. However, growing up we have little control of the environment or expectations our parents and society have over us. Society dictates what is "normal" and everyone follows suit. (0) comments
Everyone needs a reason to wake up in the morning. In the same way that we need food to sustain our bodies, we all need passion to sustain the health and well-being of our souls. Without passion, without that indescribable vibrancy that launches us up above the mundane and into a world steeped in wonder, our souls would degrade into a state of withered atrophy wherein we are little more than robots programmed to continue living without ever knowing why. On March 26, Joseph Goddard's column "The politics of change" treated Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton unfairly, and portrayed John McCain as a flawless candidate.
