Coming off their most important win of the season over rival TCU, the SMU men's basketball team (4-4) faced off against the Houston Baptist University Huskies (2-12). The Sunday afternoon game at Moody Coliseum was a high-scoring game with minimal defense. (0) comments
After a 0-4 start to the season the SMU men's basketball team has stepped up and won their last four games to even the Mustangs' record to 4-4. With seven freshmen on the team, four getting significant playing time, a lot of pressure was placed on the three seniors and one junior to lead the team. (0) comments
Justin Rogers had a full career playing defensive end at SMU that included team MVP honors and a place on the Texas team in the Texas vs. The Nation All-Star Bowl following his senior season. SMU doesn't have a history of sending many players to the NFL. That changed this April when the New England Patriots selected Rogers in the sixth round of the NFL draft. (0) comments
The Mustangs won back-to-back victories over the Coppin State Eagles and University of Texas-Arlington Mavericks this week, improving to an eight-game winning streak. The Mustangs currently stand at 8-1, the team's longest consecutive winning streak since the 2004-05 season. (0) comments
