Tigers' Granderson visits

On Monday night, SMU's athletes received advice on how to manage several aspects of their lives during the school year and their seasons from a notable source. Detroit Tigers' centerfielder Curtis Granderson gave tips to the student athletes in a session put together by SMU's Associate Athletic Director for Compliance Jeff Konya. (2) comments

Dedman College's English department recently received a $3.3 million gift from the late Catherine Perrine, the widow of former English professor Laurence Perrine, who taught at SMU for 34 years. While at SMU, Perrine served as the E.A. Lilly and Daisy Deane Frensley Professor of English literature before retiring in 1980 as the Frensley Professor Emeritus. (0) comments

Another public victory for SMU occurred Friday, Nov. 2 when corporate magazine BusinessWeek ranked the Cox School of Business EMBA program as the 11th best business school in the world, and the PMBA program as the 13th best in the United States. The Cox School MBA programs are currently the only programs in Texas ranked in Business Week's Top 25. (0) comments
