A New York-based architecture firm was selected Tuesday to design the George W. Bush Presidential Library. Robert A.M. Stern Architects was selected from a group of three finalists. President and Mrs. Bush met with Stern himself Thursday, Aug. 23 at their ranch in Crawford, TX. (2) comments

There may not be a more even conference in college football than Conference USA, especially in the West Division. The Mustangs are one of six teams competing to represent the west in the C-USA Championship. At one point late last season SMU, Houston and Tulsa each had legitimate shots to win the division. SMU's Health Center is currently promoting strict enforcement of its identification policy. However, the first person interviewed by The Daily Campus regarding the change was not asked to present her SMU ID at the front desk, as per the health center's own policy. (0) comments

Senators welcomed new Vice President of Student Affairs Dr. Lori White at the first Student Senate meeting of the 2007-08 school year. Dr. White talked about the drug-related deaths that occurred last school year of three SMU students and answered questions about what changes could be made to prevent such tragedies in the future. The Central University Libraries is looking to fill as many as 15 spots on its Student Advisory Board (SAB). SAB members meet once a month for pizza, soda and a discussion of all things library-related. Eating pizza and drinking soda in one of Fondren's conference rooms is a far cry from the library's days before Gillian McCombs became the dean and director of the Central University Libraries in 1998.
