Steroid use in MLB not right

Prove your innocence or get off the plate

Two things have surrounded baseball since the 1994 strike: homeruns and steroids. There is no better poster child for both than Barry Bonds. Ed Board loves its baseball - it's the all-American sport for crying out loud! But we are tired of athletes cheating - cheating their fans, cheating the system and cheating themselves. (1) comment

What does $20.07 mean to you? A pizza or two for a study group? A slow night's bar tab? Two and a half dinners at Umphrey-Lee? Nope, $20.07 is the amount the school is asking us graduating seniors to give, every year, starting this year. We're reminded every day through spam in our overloaded inboxes that we're almost dead last in terms of alumni support among our peer schools. (1) comment

Both critics and supporters of the Bush Library are aware that SMU has recently come under scrutiny by the Institute for Religion and Democracy. An op-ed article by that group's director, Mark Tooley, follows an earlier op-ed critique of the Institute's attack on Protestant denominational leaders. (0) comments

The Thursday article "Students' Association Mismanaging Money," shows a lack of journalistic ethics, pseudo-investigative reporting and what could perhaps be termed slander. Let me begin by conceding that a few years ago, there were a number of problems that resulted in the Students' Association account not passing the annual audit. (4) comments
