For the second consecutive season, the SMU men and women's swim and dive teams are the Conference USA Champions. SMU's Basketball Coach Matt Doherty sat proudly on the sidelines of another team's basketball game last Thursday night. He cheered and offered coaching expertise toward the end of the game. But he was not in his usual Moody Colleseum environment. Coach Doherty was on the sidelines of the Dedman Center rooting his Pi Kappa Alpha brothers on in their intramural basketball game versus Phi Gamma Delta. (1) comment
The University of Mississippi renamed a building on campus Friday after former chancellor and current SMU President R. Gerald Turner. It is now known as the R. Gerald Turner Hall. The building houses the National Food Service Management Institute, one of six federally funded national centers established during Turner's 11-year tenure at Ole Miss. (0) comments
